Starting Monday 12th June, Grass Volleyball is back at KGV with:
- Junior sessions running from 6 - 7pm (different to recent term time sessions). This is for secondary school age children of all ability and experience levels and will be taken by our qualified coaches.
- Adult beginner sessions running from 7 - 8pm
Other courts will be open for use to anyone who wants to come down and play from 7 - 9pm. This is also the case on Friday nights starting 16th June, 7-9pm.
As a commitment to the growth of volleyball, all sessions in June (junior and adult) will be free of charge!
Junior sessions will run until the end of August whereupon we will transition back to indoor volleyball.
Grass Volleyball Leagues
We are running, throughout July and August, not one but TWO Grass Volleyball Leagues:
Monday nights commencing July 3rd: Our usual league where you sign up as an individual and are put into teams of 4/5 throughout July and August We will do our best to deliberately balance teams in terms of experience of players. New players are very welcome and encouraged to join.
Friday night commencing July 7th: Corporate League! Brand new this year. A poster is attached with full details. Businesses are encouraged to enter a team of beginner volleyball players. Squads of 6-8 recommended with 4 on court at a time. Deadline for entry is 23rd June! We will be reaching out to corporates directly, however, if you think your work might be interested, please do share this with them.
If any registered player wishes to borrow a net they should contact the committee and send in the attached disclaimer. If any non registered player wishes to borrow a net they will need to send in the disclaimer and pay a hire charge of £25 per net system.
